There’s something about being in a room full of people who get it - and that’s exactly what the Disrupt Talent Live Events team experienced at the BEAM Spring All Members Meeting, hosted at The Cumberland Hotel.
As new corporate partners of beam, this one felt particularly special. It was a fantastic opportunity for our Live Events team to step into the room, strengthen new relationships and reconnect with many familiar faces who continue to shape the future of the industry.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Insight that actually matters
The agenda? Packed. But not in a “tick-box” kind of way.
This was real insight. The kind you can take away and use.
From market trends and future outlooks to BBC-style panel discussions that cut through the noise, there was a clear focus on what’s actually happening across the events landscape right now. No fluff - just honest, practical conversations.
One standout session for us came from Robert Kenward, “The Talent You Forget Until They’re Gone.” Which sparked an important conversation around recognising and retaining the people behind the scenes who often make the biggest difference. In an industry built on people, it was a timely reminder that talent is not just about hiring well - it is about valuing the people who keep everything moving.
Equally, Max Fellows delivered a session on personal brand that hit exactly the right note, bringing a clear and practical perspective on why leadership visibility matters more than ever. It was a powerful reminder that in a relationship-driven industry, how people show up professionally can have a lasting impact on both business growth and team culture.
Beyond the Stage
Beyond the stage, the event was equally valuable for the conversations happening between sessions. Meeting industry peers face-to-face, sharing ideas and hearing different perspectives reinforced something we have always believed at Disrupt Talent - the live events industry remains one of the most collaborative and supportive sectors to be part of.
For us, it reinforced exactly why we do what we do.
