Part-Time Business Development Manager - Event Tech
Remote Working | 30 Hours Per Week |
£37,500 per annum + Commission
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an ambitious and fast-growing event technology business, for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join their team on a part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a scaling SaaS business within the events and exhibitions sector, working with organisers, venues, and agencies across the UK and beyond.
The business operates in a highly entrepreneurial environment and is looking for someone who can genuinely make an impact by generating new business opportunities and opening doors within the industry.
The Role
This is a pure new business position focused on identifying, engaging, and winning new clients across the events and exhibitions space.
You'll be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals, before handing accounts over to the customer success team.
The role would suit a proactive, commercially minded sales professional who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a remote environment, and has a genuine understanding of the events industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new business opportunities
- Build relationships with event and exhibition organisers, venues, and agencies
- Conduct consultative sales meetings and online product demonstrations
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through to close
- Attend occasional industry events and networking opportunities
- Work independently to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives
To be successful in this role, you must have experience within the events and exhibitions industry and understand the challenges faced by organisers and operational teams.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A self-starter with a proactive approach
- Commercially driven and target focused
- Confident building relationships and opening doors
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote role
- Experienced in new business sales
- Consultative in their approach
- Well connected within the events industry (highly desirable)
- Fully remote working
