Senior Production Engineer - Audio Visual Live Events

Egham | Permanent | £40,000-£45,000

I'm working with a leading global AV integration provider to hire a Senior Production Engineer to join their engineering team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional with strong rack build and AV systems knowledge, who also enjoys leading and mentoring others.

You'll be a key player in assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting AV racks - setting the standard for quality, organisation, and reliability. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision engineering and wants to make a visible impact on mission-critical installations across global clients.

What You'll Be Doing

Assemble and wire AV racks to a high standard, ensuring industry best practices are met
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during rack builds and off-site deployments
Maintain accurate rack inventory and documentation
Lead and guide junior team members in their development and day-to-day responsibilities
Pre-prepare cables for upcoming projects and maintain a tidy, safe work environment
Collaborate with production and project managers to implement improvements and meet deadlines
Act as a key liaison between engineering, production, and project teams
Maintain consistency across rack builds - especially when working on repeat system designs
Stay current with industry trends and rack build technologies

About You

Strong technical knowledge of AV systems and rack builds
Experience assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting complex AV racks
A hands-on leader who leads by example and provides guidance to junior staff
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Able to manage multiple rack projects in a fast-paced environment
Proactive communicator with a collaborative mindset
Familiarity with health & safety best practices in a workshop setting
Comfortable working on-site and off-site when required

Working Hours

Full-time: 40 hours/week
Rotational shift pattern between 7:00am-7:00pm, Monday to Friday (with 1-hour unpaid break)
