Location: Luton Area
Package: £50,000-£55,000 (based on experience)
Status: Full-time / Permanent
Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays

The business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of industry experience to lead large-scale exhibition builds and related projects, including retail displays and interior fit-outs.
This opportunity will allow you to join a collaborative, fast-paced team environment, working closely with in-house experts across production, event management, and creative design. The successful candidate will be hands-on, commercially aware, and capable of managing £250k+ projects independently from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of exhibition build projects, from signed contract to on-site delivery and reconciliation.
- Manage multiple high-value projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Act as the primary client contact, maintaining strong client relationships throughout the process.
- Produce and manage project budgets, quotations, and cost reconciliations.
- Liaise with sales, design, production, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate all project requirements.
- Review technical plans, elevations, and artwork, ensuring accuracy before production.
- Manage supplier relationships, placing and overseeing all project orders.
- Take charge of on-site operations, directing crews and engaging with clients during builds.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and venue regulations.
- 10+ years' experience in project management within the exhibition design & build industry.
- Proven track record managing £250k+ projects independently without reliance on extensive outsourcing.
- Strong knowledge of exhibition build processes and production.
- Experience working across UK venues (Excel, NEC) and internationally (Europe essential; Middle East/USA desirable).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop), MS Office, and ideally a 3D package (e.g., 3D Studio Max).
- Skilled in budget management, scheduling, and quotation generation.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Commercially sharp with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident, decisive, and capable of solving problems quickly.
- Collaborative and adaptable team player.
- Organised, proactive, and reliable.
- Travel is required for UK and international projects.
- Annual travel days are notably fewer than many competitors (typically 60-80+ travel days across the wider market), providing a more balanced workload.
- Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
