About the Role

Disrupt Talent is recruiting for a well-established exhibition design and build company that delivers high-profile projects worldwide. The business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of industry experience to lead large-scale exhibition builds and related projects, including retail displays and interior fit-outs.

This opportunity will allow you to join a collaborative, fast-paced team environment, working closely with in-house experts across production, event management, and creative design. The successful candidate will be hands-on, commercially aware, and capable of managing £250k+ projects independently from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full lifecycle of exhibition build projects, from signed contract to on-site delivery and reconciliation.
  • Manage multiple high-value projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Act as the primary client contact, maintaining strong client relationships throughout the process.
  • Produce and manage project budgets, quotations, and cost reconciliations.
  • Liaise with sales, design, production, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate all project requirements.
  • Review technical plans, elevations, and artwork, ensuring accuracy before production.
  • Manage supplier relationships, placing and overseeing all project orders.
  • Take charge of on-site operations, directing crews and engaging with clients during builds.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and venue regulations.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years' experience in project management within the exhibition design & build industry.
  • Proven track record managing £250k+ projects independently without reliance on extensive outsourcing.
  • Strong knowledge of exhibition build processes and production.
  • Experience working across UK venues (Excel, NEC) and internationally (Europe essential; Middle East/USA desirable).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop), MS Office, and ideally a 3D package (e.g., 3D Studio Max).
  • Skilled in budget management, scheduling, and quotation generation.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Key Attributes
  • Commercially sharp with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident, decisive, and capable of solving problems quickly.
  • Collaborative and adaptable team player.
  • Organised, proactive, and reliable.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel is required for UK and international projects.
  • Annual travel days are notably fewer than many competitors (typically 60-80+ travel days across the wider market), providing a more balanced workload.
  • Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
