Events & Social Media Coordinator
Salary: £26,500 - £28,000 + benefits
Location: Leicester
Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid - Office-based with work from home on Mondays and Fridays
Ideal Start Date: ASAP
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events & Social Media Coordinator to join a fast-growing, award-winning boutique events agency. This role supports the delivery of high-impact live, virtual, and hybrid events while also contributing to the business's digital marketing and social media activity.
The successful candidate coordinates multiple projects simultaneously, supports event delivery from planning through to execution, and works closely with internal teams, clients, and third-party suppliers to ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Coordinate multiple event projects, ensuring all key deadlines are met
- Support all elements of live and virtual events, including logistics, production, AV, content, and exhibitions
- Manage delegate registration platforms, websites, and event apps
- Coordinate attendee invitations and communications
- Produce accurate data reporting and registration summaries
- Source and liaise with third-party suppliers
- Support Project Managers by creating and distributing key project documentation
- Travel onsite to support event delivery as part of the wider team
- Deliver first-class customer service aligned with client objectives
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager in delivering the social media strategy
- Design, capture, edit, and post engaging content across social platforms
- Contribute creative ideas for digital content and campaigns
- Stay up to date with social media and marketing trends
- Assist with marketing materials including emails, newsletters, blogs, and case studies
- Attend and document client meetings and site inspections
- Assist with preparing event proposals and planning materials
- Produce and distribute timely registration reports and feedback summaries
- Attend client debrief meetings when required
- Build a strong understanding of client businesses and products
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients at all times
- Research, source, and negotiate supplier costs
- Obtain and manage supplier invoices for approval
- Maintain and update project budgets
- Ensure compliance with company and client invoicing processes
- Submit expenses accurately and in line with company policy
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment
- Develop strong knowledge of the company's services and capabilities
- Comply with all company and client policies, including data privacy and security
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Build effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge
- Support other areas of the business as required
- A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
- Calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Holds a full UK driving licence
- Hybrid working (home working on Mondays and Fridays)
