Event Sales Manager
Location: Hybrid (Hertford-based)
Salary: Up to £30K base, OTE £44K+ (uncapped commissions)
About the Role
We're seeking a driven Event Sales Manager to take ownership of two major B2B events per year - along with their associated media and newsletter platforms.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sales Executive ready to step into a manager role, or for an existing Event/Sales Manager eager to grow in a fast-paced, high-reward environment.
You'll manage your own portfolio, nurture long-term client relationships, and play a key role in delivering successful events end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets through effective pipeline management.
  • Conduct consultative sales calls to understand client needs and position tailored event and media solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Lead all pre-event sales activities, planning, and client engagement.
  • Deliver a seamless event experience aligned with client expectations to secure strong rebook rates.
  • Attend assigned events and support others across the wider portfolio.
  • Identify new market opportunities and provide feedback on event trends.
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking functions.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient use of CRM systems and sales processes.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within events, media, or memberships (experience in technology-focused events highly advantageous).
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets and deliver commercial growth.
  • Confident communicator and negotiator with a consultative approach.
  • Capable of managing existing accounts while developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative team player.
Desirable Experience:
  • Background in Cyber Security, Customer Experience (CX)/Contact Centres, or Ecommerce events.
