Lead Ticketing Manager - NEC Group (Utilita Arena Birmingham & bp pulse LIVE)

Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week (five-in-seven)
Location: Birmingham (across Utilita Arena Birmingham & bp pulse LIVE)
Reporting to: Senior Event Ticketing Manager
Team size: Managing up to 20 casual staff from a pool of ~40

About the Role
Disrupt Talent is proud to be partnering exclusively with the NEC Group to recruit a Lead Ticketing Manager for their two flagship Birmingham arenas - Utilita Arena Birmingham and bp pulse LIVE (formerly Resorts World Arena).
This role oversees end-to-end ticketing operations, ensuring smooth delivery across large-scale concerts, sports, comedy, and family events. You'll manage promoter relationships, lead event builds, supervise a casual team, and play a key part in ensuring a seamless guest experience across both venues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead ticketing operations from event build through to final settlement.
  • Act as main contact for promoters, ensuring first-class service throughout each event's lifecycle.
  • Deputise for the Senior Event Ticketing Manager and mentor junior team members.
  • Build and maintain event manifests, pricing structures, and agent allocations.
  • Oversee box office operations on event days, acting as Duty Manager when required.
  • Manage, train, and schedule casual staff for arena events, including payroll coordination.
  • Produce post-event reports, sales analysis, and performance insights.
  • Work collaboratively across ticketing, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
  • Proven arena or large-scale live event ticketing experience.
  • Strong understanding of promoter relations and settlement processes.
  • Skilled in using ticketing systems - ideally AudienceView.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Excellent organisation, detail orientation, and calm decision-making.
  • Commercially aware and proactive in problem solving.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends, with time off in lieu.
Desirable:
  • Multi-venue or multi-channel ticketing experience.
  • Knowledge of the Birmingham or Midlands live events market.
Working Pattern
  • 36.5 hours per week, annualised (five-in-seven contract).
  • Office-based Monday to Friday for planning and coordination.
  • Attendance at live events (typically two to three per week during busy periods).
  • Time off in lieu provided for weekend or late event coverage.
