Job Title: Event Sales Executive - Exhibitions
Location: On-site Birmingham the NEC Group
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 plus bonus

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our client, the NEC Group, a dynamic organisation renowned for its commitment to excellence. As a Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the NEC's reputation as the venue of choice while driving commercial success.

Primary Purpose of the Role:
As a Sales Executive, your key objective will be to up sell products and services to NEC exhibition customers, ensuring maximum commercial returns while supporting the NEC's overall vision. ie Wifi and additional items on stands.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales/Financial Delivery
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of NEC's products and services.
  • Investigate customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Manage sales portfolios, converting leads through effective outbound and inbound sales strategies.
  • Maximise sales opportunities through cross-selling and up-selling in adherence to sales targets.
  • Assist the Customer Support Coordinator with sales order processing and problem resolution.
Business Development
  • Identify and nurture revenue growth opportunities within customer portfolios.
  • Collaborate with management on effective campaigns for proactive sales and lead generation

Account Management and Administration
  • Maintain relationships with all customer groups and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Client Liaison and Satisfaction
  • Build and strengthen relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction in line with venue requirements.
Compliance
  • Adhere to all company policies and regulations, ensuring proper use of systems and quality standards.
Corporate Initiatives
  • Support the Sales and Customer Support management team in aligning with the broader NEC Venue and Group Sales strategy.
Corporate Liaison
  • Foster collaborative relationships with all NEC teams and suppliers to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Skills and Experience Required:
Technical Skills
  • Previous contact centre/telephony experience preferred.
  • Proficient in utilising various computer systems and processes effectively.
Experience
  • Ideally, 2 years' experience in a sales and service environment.
People Skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities; skilled in influencing and negotiating.
Personality Traits
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Effective communicator across all levels, building rapport easily.
Attitudes
  • Passionate about sales and customer service with a proactive "can do" approach.
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a results-driven focus.
  • Team player willing to share knowledge and collaborate across the organisation.
