Senior Event Manager
Location: Redditch
We are seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of premium, large-scale events across corporate, private, and social sectors. This role is ideal for a strategic, detail-driven events professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is confident managing complex logistics, high-profile clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
The Senior Event Manager will oversee events from concept through execution, ensuring exceptional client experiences, operational excellence, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of high-value events, including corporate functions, brand activations, private celebrations, and large-scale productions
- Translate client briefs into creative, operationally sound event concepts and delivery plans
- Oversee multiple events simultaneously, maintaining quality, consistency, and deadlines
- Act as the senior point of contact for key clients, building trusted, long-term relationships
- Manage client expectations, budgets, and timelines with confidence and professionalism
- Present proposals, schedules, and post-event evaluations to stakeholders
- Manage complex event logistics including venue coordination, staffing, production schedules, guest flow, and on-site operations
- Collaborate closely with culinary teams, production partners, florists, designers, and technical suppliers
- Lead site visits, rehearsals, and on-the-day delivery, ensuring seamless execution
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost control and strong profit margins
- Oversee supplier negotiations, contracts, and purchase orders
- Track financial performance and contribute to forecasting and revenue planning
- Line-manage and mentor Event Managers and Event Coordinators
- Allocate resources effectively across the events portfolio
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
- Ensure events meet health & safety, licensing, and compliance requirements
- Anticipate and mitigate risks, resolving issues quickly and calmly
- Uphold brand standards and deliver consistently high levels of service
- Significant experience (typically 6-8+ years) in event management within a full-service or high-end events environment
- Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale events with premium clients
- Strong understanding of event production, catering operations, logistics, and supplier management
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills
- Confident leader with experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required
- Experience across both corporate and private/social events
- Background in hospitality, catering, or live event production
- Familiarity with event management software and CRM tools
